is an online travel agency offering Privilege Services and Hotels in Mauritius,
Seychelles, Rodrigues, Réunion, Maldives, Madagascar & Sri Lanka.
We are looking
for dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineer Developer who will be
challenged by the complex business logic of connectivity on online travel and
hospitality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Keen
understanding of business requirements to
·
Design,
develop and deploy web application projects that meet business requirements
·
Provide
continuous support on web application projects
·
Effectively
translate business requirements into efficient and scalable technical
specification
·
Ability
to think outside the box
·
Design,
develop, deploy and support:
o
Customised
softwares,
o
Custom
interfaces,
o
Reports
based on existing ERP, CRM and any other type application/database,
o
Business
Intelligence type of solutions.
·
Create
and maintain the required documentations for all delivered solutions and complex
support issues.
·
Following
proper coding standards and best practices
·
Deliver
training to clients and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A good HSC
coupled with a Degree in IT.
At least 5
years’ experience of development is needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
·
Knowledge
of client side scripting like JavaScript, jQuery with minimum 2 years
experience,
·
Database
design with minimum 3 years experience. MySQL experience is acceptable with the
expectation of transferring those skills to MS SQL Server,
·
Strong
MySQL 5 experience: queries, stored procedures, triggers; with minimum 1 year
experience or the MS SQL Server equivalent,
·
A
strong knowledge of web services and web application development is necessary,
·
A
good knowledge of .net technologies (C#, asp), object oriented concepts, HTML,
CSS and Java Script,
·
Should
have strong analytical skills and be passionate about research and development,
·
Must
be a self-learner willing to try new technologies,
·
Must
be structured and able to work independently.
WORKING HOURS & LOCATIONS
Working
hours go from 10am to 8pm Mauritius time (6am to 4pm GMT http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/gmt-to-ist-converter)
Work
location is based in Mauritius Floreal or possibly in homeshoring.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Fixed
salary based on experience
